Vertical tasting of white wine of Bodegas Nekeas
A couple of nice bottles of wine made from White Grenache have reached my hands. Quite special white wines called 25 Vendimias (25 Harvests) vintages 2017 and 2018 of Bodegas Nekeas. Interesting vertical tasting to see the evolution of this wine made with grapes from vineyards located at 500m altitude in the Nekeas Valley, near Pamplona.
25 Vendimias 2018
Pale lemon colour with green hints. Grass, pear and lemon aromas.
In the mouth apple, pear and lemon with spicy touches of white pepper. Crisp with nice acidity and body and very pleasant… to be enjoyed on its own or with some light food.
25 Vendimias 2017
Pale lemon, more intense than the previous, with golden hints.
Aromas subtly developed, stone fruit with kerosene aromas. In the mouth, dried apple and apricot, lemon and final touch of ginger.
A fresh wine, with some complexity due to the kerosene and medium to long finish. Very tasty with a ceviche or an aromatic curry.
